The wait is finally over for Star Wars fans, as EA revealed that Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition will be released digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 5, 2019. The new edition comes with a price tag of $39.99 USD, which might be a bit steep for some gamers.

The Battlefront II: Celebration Edition is packed with 25 free content updates, including the recently released The Battle on Scarif. Players will also get access to all the Star Wars Battlefront II base game modes, as well as new characters and vehicles from the Star Wars universe.

One of the highlights of the game is its single-player campaign, which allows players to experience the untold story of an Imperial elite special forces soldier in a unique narrative. The game's creative director, Dennis Brännvall, recently talked about the game's incredible journey through 25 free content updates, giving fans a glimpse into what's next for the franchise.

In addition to the campaign, the audio team at DICE worked tirelessly to create an immersive soundscape for the game, drawing inspiration from The Rise of Skywalker and Felucia. Fans will be able to experience the thrill of battle like never before with the new edition.

However, some fans may be concerned about what will happen to the Celebration Edition skins in the future, as the servers shut off. Fear not, as players will still be able to use the skins in offline modes as long as they have a stable internet connection and PSN account.

For those who prefer to play online, a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass Core (sold separately) is required for console multiplayer mode.
